Members of Cabinet
The Premier chairs the Cabinet, or the Conseil exécutif, which is composed of all the ministers and which, together with the Lieutenant-Governor, forms the government. As the main decision-making body of the government, the Cabinet assumes the leadership of the government, the application of statutes and the administration of the State.
At its weekly sessions, the Conseil exécutif makes decisions and approves the orders in council required for the government to continue its operations. These decisions reflect the will and political orientations of the Cabinet on subjects that have been the object of discussions. As for orders in council, they express the government’s will and are often administrative in scope.
